Hector Carosso has worked around film in one capacity or another since reviewing movies for Tokyo Today magazine in Japan in the late 1980s. He's completed intensive film training programs at the NY Film Academy, and has screened his short film at the Seattle International Film Festival. The Collaborators

The four main actresses in the film are Kayan women with limited local acting experience. They prepared for their roles for half a year before shooting began. Several minor roles were played by actors from Yangon, while all other actors and extras were locals with no prior experience. Read more...
